This is true, but there will probably be one default position that we could use. It'll just be a much higher resolution than we're used to. If the models of the pokemon get released, then it'd be cool to have a go at 3d splicing x3 I'm looking forward to seeing what these games are like. Also i'm pretty sure the third game of then gen is gonna be called Z, to complete the 3d coordinates

It won't be the death of spriting, we just won't have any new pokemon to sprite with, unless like fusion said, they have 1 default position. But we will always have old sprites to sprite with, which I honestly like WAY better then all of this new crap pokemon is making. Pokemon stopped being good when it went to the DS. The only good game they made after that was heartgold and soulsilver and they were only good because they were a remake of one of the best pokemon games of all time. So IMO, pokemon started sucking when they moved to the DS. My favorite games will always be Saphire, Ruby, and Emerald though. Those games were absolutely amazing.

well as a said the game's look promising but it will make spriting a challenge even with a stand still model and D87 if you condition says no to the 3d the there is still hope for you, the 3DS has an ajustmant switch with witch you can change the resolution or just shut the 3d off entirely in witch case it would look like some of the buildings in black and white rather than poping off the screen as for my fishy friend here the reson i say it looks promising is this gives the game a hole new respective from the other 5 gens (in truth it looks more like a quest game then a pokemon game) along with that a lot of the game play has been altered including the battles from what i hear, this could be good or bad but ether way it will make this new releass unlike any pokemon games any of us have played befor

I think it's a real step up for the franchise, seeing as they were stuck in pixel art for most of this generation. As for spriting, we can still sprite with the ones we have. And we will always have the games prior to X and Y.
