Yeah, I'm not on board with that. The only other sites I'm active on are Steam, Reddit, and Aqua Beam (different forum). Another problem with that is that the more well-known Pokemon forums are so big that even if we were all there, we would barely see each other. Outside of PMs we wouldn't be doing much talking.

I'd like to vote to stay.
Yeah, the address really isnt good, no offense to Bondman. However, how many spriting forums have we seen people trying to start? And how many just remained ghost towns? I feel if we moved, and started fresh, we'd slowly decay. Right now new users can see we have lots of threads, so therefore we appear more reliable than an empty forum.
Also, people returning would only find a missing forum D: if i came back a month later, you'd all be gone.
Stay, and revamp, that's my vote

Revamp what? No matter how much revamping you do, people still wont find it. Googling "Pokemon Sprite Resource", this forum isn't in the first 20 pages of results. And besides, we already know that Proboards isn't very customizable..
Edit: And Fusion, the thing is, it's not going to be a spriting forum.

actualy jack have you ever seen the inside workings of a proboards forum if you know your way around it's actuly really customizabl and there is alot you can do with it plus the search results thing is because at the moment we are a low rated site with this we change the site name (not the url) in the options and change what search results we are found under and we are then considered a new site not a dead site an to add to it if we use an original sounding name that will bum us up in the search results to or main problem here is currently we are a spriting site and lets face it poi is te only one spriting so if and when we change the topic we need to be more than just a social page and actually contribute to our sites purpose weather it be writing art or what ever, or we are going to stay dead as we are now no matter what the topic it

Hmm... They all have to do with different kinds of art~ xD Yeah, this technically is an art forum. Just more centralized around pokemon and video games. Some of us like making videos, drawing, music, etc. great catch Digi.

So centered on digital media, with an additional focus on video games? Hm. I like it. Fits everything we do pretty good. Providing no further protest, I guess we'll go with that. Which, of course, leaves us with the next big step: choosing a new name. The stay here vs. move poll is still open, to clarify. But regardless of which option we choose, we're going to change the name, right?

Lol, while that is funny it's not really going to help with site traffic, not that the name will help that much but you never know. Any ideas?

i wish to change my vote well i think we should stay with pro boards i don't think we should keep this site a new URL to go with our new name will help us as i said before proboards is easy to use and if you know how really easy to customize to how you want but "bondman.proboards.com" will make it a hard site to find as the name would still have nothing to do with the topic. that and proboards V.5 will be coming out soon giving us even more options as far as a name goes how about "Artist's Sanctuary" I've checked the search results and it's an original name and it sounds warm, friendly, inviting, and interesting

i think we should remove that login thing you have to go through everytime you open the website then maybe people will be able to see what is posted here and they will be more likely to join

If we do change the url, does proboards support redirecting in anyway? If not, we could just have a notice saying where we moved to.
Also, how is proboards customised? If it uses css, i could lend a hand, we've been learning it in uni for the past couple of months.
And i definately agree with ratminer, forcing people to sign up before seeing any content just scares off a large audience.

no proboards doesn't support redirecting (unfortanitly) and we don't really need to use any form off coding language when using proboards

Well I'm pretty sure I never turned it on the need to sign in to view the posts, so I'm pretty sure it was Neko who did it. I had thought of a good reason for it at one point, but I forget what it was. It seems like most people are leaning towards moving. As for the code it's in, the headers and footers are in HTML I believe, however it supports javascript and css if you do something like this:
<style type="text/css"> <!-- .menubg {background-image: url(http://i51.tinypic.com/v33azc.png); background-repeat: no-repeat;} --> </style>
The themes are called skins and they're mostly customizable through color codes and some images.

Maybe we should change the site layout as well to make it more colourful maybe? Just an idea, but I don't know if anyone would agree with it.
Although yeah an art forum sounds cool considering we all have some common interests as Digi stated :3
